Hi I’m Abby!
I am a student at the University of Washington (UW) College of Education and a researcher in the Center for Learning, Computing, and Imagination.
I am fascinated by education, not only as a process of learning and development, but also as a social, economic, and political force. With this perspective, my research is often motivated by a curiosity about who gets to participate in the creation of technology and who remains confined to being its consumers.
As a prospective PhD student, I plan to engage teachers and students in learning experiences that empower them to imagine, explore, design, and develop technology that is personally meaningful to them.
